How much digital manipulation do I do to my photos? Each picture is different, i try to leave well enough alone, but others i like to edit edit edit!!
Getting my subject to pose? I dont like to "pose" my subjects, letting them be natural is best and i find they are more comfortable that way.
How many hours goes into editing a session? About 3-4 depending on how many pictures there are
Do I prefer color or black and white? Some images just scream B&W..others i leave in color
How would I describe my photogenic style? simple, clean, fun, modern....
Do i listen to music while i edit? Yup....country
What advice would i give another photographer? Be patient....success doesn't happen over night!
How do I handle a shy child or an edgy mother? I dont have any "tricks" really, i try talking to the child before the shoot to get them warmed up to me, i might go for a walk with them (with the parent close by). After a few moments of me being silly and acting like a goof, they come around! The "pushy" mom....i basically just do my thing; i take into consideration what she wants and what she is looking for out of his/her child and go with it..but basically the parents aren't an issue at all...
What age group is the hardest and what is the easiest? The hardest i think is between 8-10 months (the mobile stage) and 2yrs old (some newborns)....the easiest are toddlers and up.
